December Labor Market Figures
Unemployment numbers released today show a small but steady improvement in the number ofNew figures from the U.S. Department of Labor indicate unemployment is down unemployed Texans over one year ago. overall across the state, with a continued drop in almost all areas of Southeast Texas.
“While we would like to see greater drops in the unemployment figures,” said Marilyn Smith, executive director Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas, “we’re pleased that the numbers continue trending downward and we’ll continue to work with employers and job seekers to meet the hiring needs of our local economy.”
