Online Job Matching Resource Gets New Look!

WorkInTexas.com, the state’s comprehensive online job resource for employers and job seekers, is getting a makeover. Though many of the features and functionality have been upgraded based on customers’ input over the years, the site has looked the same since its initial launch in May 2004. The newly updated site includes a simpler, improved logon, access to your home page, and collapsible/expandable features in addition to a new color palette. Users can now also adjust font sizes for better on-screen readability.

In Southeast Texas, nearly 5,000 businesses use this system to post job openings by specific education requirements, skills and experience levels and match to job seekers who have posted resumes. And, nearly 100,000 job seekers have used WorkInTexas.com to find work by matching their skills with employers who are hiring.

For employers, WorkInTexas.com offers the unique opportunity to enter their own job postings, search for and make contact with qualified job seekers, and even post hire activity. For job seekers, even when not logged in, WorkInTexas.com continues to match job openings with qualified job seekers and generates notices to alert them to potential job opportunities. The site and its services are available to registered employers and job seekers 24/7.

The new WorkInTexas.com site launched January 19th. Users will also find access to website statistics, a statewide news feature, and Workforce Solutions office directory. Let us know what you think. The new site features a “Tell Us What You Think” link. Take the short survey and submit your responses to the Texas Workforce Commission.
